No. We will work with you to create a unique care plan. We will explain what we will provide you during the agreed hours of care, but there is no minimum commitment.
Yes. We use a digital care management platform that includes a family app. This can be accessed 24/7 by you or your loved one and includes details such as their care plan, read-only notes, live updates, and photos.
We retrospectively invoice you for your care every two weeks i.e., you are invoiced after you have received your care. You will then have seven days to pay the invoice. We only accept payment via bank transfer.
Our staff complete a comprehensive two-week induction when they join us. It includes a range of face-to-face and online learning and is delivered in-house by our registered manager, who has 30 years' experience in care. Our staff are then subject to several observations before they deliver any care independently.
Training is a continual process and staff are given regular paid time to complete ongoing learning. We also commit to supporting our staff to study formal qualifications to improve their knowledge and skills, as well as to support in their long-term career aspirations.
We understand the importance of building high quality, trusting relationships. We also recognise the stress that can come with regular staff changes.
When we meet for the first time we will carry out several risk assessments. They will help to inform your care plan, but also provide us with the best information to match you with our care staff. They may be people who may have similar interests, backgrounds, or who specialise in the care of certain conditions.
Whilst they cannot be completely avoided, we believe there are two ways to significantly reduce staff changes. The first is to provide the best and most supportive work environment that we can. We have committed to this through our values. The second is to plan well, and ahead of time. We forward plan rotas and finalise them early. We communicate changes to you in advance so that you understand why we have made a change and how long it will last.
