Meet Our Team
Ian Cameron
Founder & Owner
Ian founded and owns Lago Homecare. He began his career at 19 at the National Audit Office, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, and has a deep grounding in financial rigour, governance and how strong organisations are built.Â
But his reason for founding Lago runs far deeper than business. His grandparents, married for over 70 years and both living into their 90s, stayed together in their own home, exactly as they always wished, and Ian saw first-hand what that meant to them: the comfort of familiar surroundings, the dignity of a routine they had chosen, the reassurance of being somewhere truly their own. That principle sits at the heart of everything Lago does.Â
Today, as owner, he remains closely involved in every part of the business, from recruitment and training to care planning and compliance, holding the team to the same high standard he holds himself.
Andy Cummins
Registered Manager
With over 15 years in health and social care, Andy has spent his career supporting people across supported living, dementia and complex needs services. His expertise spans leadership, safeguarding, workforce development and the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, and what drives him above all is the chance to make a genuine difference to people’s lives.Â
A background in rugby shaped his approach to leadership, and people management is one of his real strengths: he builds teams that trust one another, look out for each other and pull together towards a shared goal. He takes great pride in developing carers who feel supported, valued and proud of the work they do.Â
As Registered Manager, he draws on extensive experience leading regulated services and high-performing teams to ensure Lago consistently meets the highest standards of care and compliance.
